Bloglines for lists

Geoff posted a handy how-to for subscribing to email lists using Bloglines. I first tried this last Fall on a trial-run before moving all my lists over, and after about a week’s worth of messages from that list, I made the bold move and unsubscibed from all 8 listservs (eight!) on email, and subscribed to them in Bloglines instead. Here’s why:

  • obvious: a more manageable inbox!
  • maintenance: don’t have to suspend all lists when I go away
  • portability: my subscriptions aren’t tied to an email address that I might not have forever
  • quick-exit: if you’d like to leave a list and can’t locate the “unsubscribe” instructions, simply delete your subscription/generated email address in Bloglines. Caveat: take pity on list moderators! I am one, and therefore on the receiving end of far too many list bouncebacks. So if you’d like to Do the Polite Thing, stick to unsubscribing to a list the old-fashioned, command way (which you can also do in Bloglines). This will ensure positive karma from list moderators everywhere.

I tried clicking on ‘handy how to’ link above in both IE and Firefox, but got a string of xml like text but not the handy how to. Could you redirect me please.

I think Geoff may have done a reconfiguration on his server. I found the “how to” at http://blogdriverswaltz.com/?p=512

resume writing services

  • I richly applied nobly resume writing services point-device and I was truly impressed with effects, because predominantly it helps me use a comfortable work. The successful writers widely wrote a new decent resume. I learn you could order this beneficial cooperation, if you oft have inquiries with delicate searching for a specific job. It could pass you with touching well-submitted resumes.
