library day in the life

A librarian isn’t just a librarian anymore, you know? I mean, sure, I still get the occasional, “oh, you’re so lucky to be able to read books all day!”, but certainly not with as much frequency as I used to. And even those of the unwashed masses who don’t think we read books all day certainly think we all still do book-related things all day. I haven’t done anything vaguely book-related in a very long time, although that probably won’t come as a big surprise to anyone who reads this blog (hi! long time no see!).

I remember reading a few of the posts that came out of the Library Day in the Life meme last year, and thinking “wow, these people have really interesting jobs” as well as “how nice to know exactly where your day went!”. So, when I saw the meme roll around again this week, I figured I should take the time to participate.

So I’ll be posting summaries of my workdays all week. They will be low on intrigue and world domination, but high on the interestingness scale. Or not.
