RSS means never having to say you’re sorry

Remember me? I used to blog here.

It was with a great deal of sheepishness that I sent off my request for a “Blogger” ribbon for Internet Librarian. I fully expected a response that said “Ha ha! A Blogger ribbon for you? Good one!”, but, of course, the Information Today folks are too polite for that.

It’s true, isn’t it, that RSS means never having to say you’re sorry for not posting? Still, I am sorry! Thank goodness the rest of you have been blogging your hearts out, because without you, I’d be completely out of the loop. The irony is that when I started this blog just over 4 years ago, it felt like I would never run out of ideas and enthusiasm for all the many ways to use technology in libraries, but now that we’re actually doing a lot of those neat things at my library, I find myself with zero time to blog! Ridiculous, yes? Yes.

So, anyway, I’m trying for a comeback. I don’t want to look like a complete fraud sporting the green ribbon, after all. Besides, when Meredith Farkas says you should post more, you post more.

Your blog has always been one of my favorites and I know how life can really get in the way of posting, so I figured if you knew that people miss you, it might bump you back into blogging. :)

Hmm. You’re too busy doing worthwhile things to blog about the desire to do worthwhile things? Now there’s a good complaint to have!

Yay! Amanda is back! One thing I learned from your Web 2.0 course was to be passionate about blogging — you do that amazingly! Your Web 2.0 course is the reason I’m a blogger now.

It’s good to see your words on the screen again, Amanda. You inspired me back in April @CIL (with your knowledge, not just your cool bag) and I often look your way for direction.
