thriving with technology

I presented at a conference last Thursday on the topic of “Thriving with Technology” (the conference theme was work/life balance), and while I don’t really believe that technology can help much in the pursuit of work/life balance (and I made sure to utter that disclaimer before I began!), I did have a few tips for how to stay informed without getting completely overwhelmed by the ever-changing landscape in which we find ourselves. My presentation is here if you’d like to have a look (pdf). Thank you to the conference organizers for having me!

If you are asked to speak about a “keeping up” related topic again in the future I hope you will refer your audience to my “Keeping Up Web Site” at http://staff.philau.edu/bells/keepup

It’s all about strategies and resources for keeping up effectively.

Absolutely, Steven! I mentioned your site as well as your blog for academic librarians to the group. I couldn’t do this type of talk without pointing out those two amazing resources!
